Do I need to sign up?
No. You can start a text or video chat without an account. You only need a free account if you want the features that require memory — saving chats, sending friend requests, or messaging someone after you disconnect.
How do you keep bots out?
Every account passes device fingerprinting and behavioural checks before it enters the match pool. Accounts that show scripted patterns are removed at the network level rather than being reported one at a time, so a blocked operator cannot simply create a new profile.
What happens to my chat history?
Message content is held in memory for the duration of the session only and is deleted when you disconnect. We do not keep transcripts, and we do not sell data to advertisers. The only thing that persists is what you explicitly choose to save.
Is it safe to use video chat?
Video chat is moderated and every report is reviewed by a person. That said, text chat is inherently safer because it exposes no face, no voice and no background — which is why we suggest starting there. Never share your address, workplace, bank details or passwords with anyone you meet here.
Can I use it on my phone?

How is this different from Omegle?
Omegle shut down in November 2023 after fourteen years, largely because it never built moderation that could cope with its own scale.
