How it works
How it works, end to end
No profile, no photos, no verification email. From landing on the site to a real conversation takes about ten seconds, and this page explains exactly what happens in between.
How does OmegaGirlsChat work?
You optionally pick a few interests, press start, and are matched one-to-one with a verified adult in roughly 2.4 seconds. The session opens in text with the camera and microphone off. You can switch to a live voice call or video at any point, skip to someone new with one click, or send a friend request to continue the conversation later.
The flow
From landing here to a real conversation
- 01
Pick a few interests
Optional but strongly recommended. Two or three topics is the sweet spot — more than five narrows the pool enough to noticeably increase match time.
- 02
Press start
You join a queue of device-verified accounts only. Median time to connect is 2.4 seconds, measured over a rolling seven-day window.
- 03
Talk in text
The session opens in text with the camera and microphone off. Nothing is transmitted until you explicitly enable it.
- 04
Switch mode when you want
Live voice, video and voice notes are one tap away inside the same conversation. Switching does not re-match you or lose the thread.
- 05
Skip, block or report
Skip rematches you in about the same time as the first match. Block is permanent across every mode. Report disconnects you and files the session with a human moderator.
- 06
Keep the good ones
Send a friend request before you skip, or a message request after the session ends. That is how a random chat becomes a person you know.
How matching actually works
When you press start you enter a queue. Every account in that queue has already passed device fingerprinting and behavioural scoring, which is what keeps bots and repeat offenders out.
If you selected interests, the queue is weighted toward people who selected at least one of the same topics. It is a weighting rather than a filter, which matters: strict filtering would make match times unpredictable and would remove the randomness that makes the format interesting. You still meet someone unexpected — you just do not start from nothing.
Language settings work the same way. If you are practising Spanish, matching biases toward Spanish speakers, and toward people learning your language so the exchange runs both directions.
The three modes, and why text is the default
Text needs no camera and no microphone, reveals nothing about how you look or sound, and gives you time to think. It is the safest way to begin and it is a complete experience on its own — you can have a long conversation without ever enabling anything.
Voice sits in the middle. A live call reveals your accent and your voice but not your face or your surroundings. Voice notes are the gentler version: record alone, listen back, and send only when you are happy with it.
Video is the most exposed and the most immediate. It is genuinely the best experience once you have a reason to trust someone, and the worst place to start. The camera stays off until you turn it on.
What we do not keep
Message content is held in memory for the length of the session only and deleted when you disconnect. We do not store transcripts. We do not build advertising profiles and there are no third-party ad trackers on the site.
Two things do persist, and only because you create them: saved chats and friend connections. Both are explicit actions you take, not defaults you have to opt out of.
Moderation, briefly
Automated filters catch unsolicited sexual content, early contact-sharing and known scam patterns. Everything ambiguous goes to a staffed queue covered around the clock. Every report is read by a person, and repeat offenders are banned at the network level rather than one account at a time.
Because we do not retain transcripts, moderation is driven by reports rather than by us reviewing everything. That is the honest trade-off, and the safety centre sets it out in full.
Questions
How it works, answered
Do I need an account?
No. Text, voice, video and voice notes all work without an account. You need a free one only for features that require memory: saved chats, friend requests and message requests.
How are people matched?
Matching is weighted by the interests and languages you select, from a pool of device-verified accounts only. It is a weighting rather than a hard filter, so match times stay predictable and you still meet people outside your usual topics.
Can I switch between text, voice and video?
Yes, inside the same conversation. Switching mode does not re-match you and does not lose the thread, so you can start in text and move to a call without starting over.
What happens to my messages?
They are held in memory for the duration of the session and deleted when you disconnect. Nothing is stored by default. Saved chats and friend connections persist because you created them explicitly.
How do I keep talking to someone I liked?
Send a friend request before you skip or end the session. If they accept, they appear in your friends list and you can message any time without being re-matched. If the session already ended, send a message request from your match history instead.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. OmegaGirlsChat runs in any modern mobile browser on iOS and Android with no app to download. Voice and video use standard WebRTC, so quality matches the desktop experience.
