Random chat has a bad reputation because the category earned it. This page sets out exactly what we do, what we do not do, and where the limits are — including the parts that do not flatter us.
How does OmegaGirlsChat keep users safe?
Five mechanisms: device verification before an account can enter the match pool, age assurance at signup, permanent one-tap blocking across every mode, staffed human moderation covering around the clock, and zero-retention transcripts so message content is deleted when a session ends.

These are operating commitments, not marketing figures. Where we cannot measure something precisely, we say so rather than rounding up.
What we do
Device verification before matching. Device fingerprinting and behavioural scoring run before an account is allowed into the match pool. Accounts that show scripted or automated patterns are removed at the network level, so the operator behind them cannot simply register again. This is the main reason the pool contains people rather than bots.
Age assurance. OmegaGirlsChat is strictly 18+. Age assurance is enforced at signup and we remove any account we cannot verify as an adult. Random chat platforms have historically handled this badly, and it is the failure with the highest cost, so we treat it as a hard gate rather than a checkbox.
Staffed moderation, around the clock. Automated filters catch the obvious cases — unsolicited sexual content, contact-sharing in the first minutes, known scam patterns. Everything ambiguous goes to a queue staffed by people, covered twenty-four hours a day. Every report is read by a human.
Permanent blocking. One click removes someone from your match pool across text, voice and video simultaneously. It does not expire after thirty days, it does not reset on a new session, and it does not need a reason.
Zero-retention transcripts. Message content is held in memory for the duration of the session and deleted when you disconnect. We do not store chat logs and we do not build advertising profiles. There are no third-party ad trackers on the site.
Camera and microphone off by default. Matching and broadcasting are separate decisions. Nothing is transmitted until you explicitly enable it, so a slow page load or an accidental match never exposes you.
What we do not do
We do not record live voice and video calls. This is a deliberate choice, and it is a genuine trade-off. Recording every call would degrade the experience for the overwhelming majority of users who behave well, and it would create a store of sensitive recordings that could be breached. We handle abuse in calls through reporting instead.
We do not offer perfect anonymity. We run device and network checks for bot prevention and abuse handling. That processing is not used for advertising and is never shown to other users, but it exists, and claiming otherwise would be dishonest.
We do not guarantee who you meet. Verification removes bots and repeat offenders; it cannot verify that every person is honest, kind or who they claim to be. The controls below are yours to use, and they are the last line of defence.
We do not sell data. There is no advertising network on this site, which means there is no dataset to sell.
Your controls
Everything below is available to you at any time, with no account required for the first three.
Skip. One click, no confirmation, no explanation needed. You are rematched in roughly the same time as the first match.
Block. Permanent and immediate. Removes the account from your pool across all modes for good.
Report. Disconnects you instantly and files the session context with the human moderation queue.
Interest filters. Weight the pool toward topics you want to discuss and away from ones you do not.
Language filters. Restrict matching by language when you are practising, or when you want to talk in your own.
No camera mode. Text chat is complete without a camera or microphone. You never have to enable either.
Reporting abuse
Press the report button during the session — that captures the relevant context for the reviewer. If you need to report something after a session has ended, or if you are reporting a pattern of behaviour across sessions, email safety@omeglegirlschat.com.
Reports involving a minor, a credible threat of violence, or non-consensual intimate imagery are escalated immediately and handled outside the normal queue. We report these to the relevant authorities where we are legally required or where there is an immediate risk to life.
If you are struggling
Random chat can be a genuinely good place to talk at 3am, but it is not a substitute for support. If you are in crisis, contact a local emergency number or a crisis line in your country. Talking to a stranger is not the same as talking to someone trained to help.
Protecting yourself
Practical rules that prevent most harm
- Never share your address, workplace, school, full name, ID documents or financial details.
- Never send money, gift cards or crypto. Any request for them is a scam, without exception.
- Assume anything on camera can be recorded. Screenshots and screen recording cannot be reliably detected.
- Check your background before enabling video — windows, post and street signs identify buildings.
- Treat an early push to move to another app as a warning sign, not a compliment.
- Keep conversations on the platform until you have a real reason to trust someone.
- Leave early and without explanation whenever something feels wrong. You never owe a stranger a reason.

How is OmegaGirlsChat moderated?

Do you record video or voice calls?

What happens when I report someone?
You are disconnected immediately and the relevant session context is filed with the human moderation queue. A moderator reviews it, and accounts that breach the community guidelines are removed. Unsolicited sexual content results in removal on the first report rather than after a repeated pattern.
Can I be matched with someone I blocked?
No. Blocking removes an account from your pool across text, voice and video simultaneously, permanently. It does not expire and it does not reset between sessions.
Is my chat history stored?
No. Message content is held in memory for the duration of the session only and deleted when you disconnect. We do not keep transcripts, and a report captures only the context a moderator needs to review it — which is then deleted along with everything else.
What if I am being blackmailed or threatened?
Stop responding, do not pay anything, and report the session immediately. Then email safety@omeglegirlschat.com with the details. Threats and non-consensual intimate imagery are escalated outside the normal queue and reported to the relevant authorities where we are legally required to or where there is an immediate risk.
